Tour information

• A series of 12 tournaments (1x per month) with different point evaluations
• Single-elimination bracket system
• Seeding in the tournament done in accordance with our Elo system. A quarter of the players with the highest Elo will be seeded (i.e. they will not meet in the first 2 stages of the tournament). The rest of the players will be drawn randomly.
• Players have 14 days from the round's draw to play each match. In the event that all matches of one round are finished sooner, the next round will be drawn immediately after the last match has been played and a new period of 14 days will run from that moment. (For example, the Semifinals draw is planned on January 10, according to the schedule. However, the last Quarterfinal match gets to be played on January 5. This means that the Semifinals draw will also take place on January 5. The Finals will then be drawn on January 19, i.e. 14 days after the SF draw, assuming that all the SF matches aren't played sooner)
• For each stage of the tournament reached, the player earns points for the Tour ranking. Each city has its own ranking. The points are awarded as follows:

  What do we play for?

• The winner of each tournament earns HobbyLiga credits, which can be used to pay the entry fee for the next tournament or league or to purchase something in our e-shop (https://www.hobbyliga.de/eshop/). The amount of credits earned depends on the participant count. The more players sing up for the tournament, the bigger the reward will be for winning it.
• The best players of each city are also rewarded at the end of the Tour season.

• overall ranking rewards will only be awarded if more than half of the Tour events are played during the season

  Rules

• Players who are actively playing tennis at the highest level of the German or Austrian Tennis Association may not participate in the tournament.
• The tournament starts when there are at least 8 signed-up players. There is no upper limit.
• Each player may participate in any number of Tour events. Players who have paid entry fees in an ongoing or upcoming HobbyLiga league get up to 50% discount on entry fees in all Tour events.
• There are two separate starting fee categories for each Tournament. Discounted entry fee for players who pay the entry fee more than a week before the start of the Tournament. Full entry fee for players who pay the entry fee less than a week before the Tournament's draw.
• Each match is played to 5 games won. Each game is played to 11 points and must be won with a 2-point lead. The maximum attainable number of points in a game is 20 (in case of a 19:19 score, whoever wins the 20th point wins the game).
